S.E.E.D. of Personal Power Reiki A Path to Mastery Presents

I recently recieved a beautiful email from Kalpana Chandavarkar (kalpana@cdac.ernet.in) in which she shared the experience she and her husband, Rajive, had with Reiki and a transitional illness. Rajive was 43 years old when he made his transition, in the prime of his life and career.

She expressed herself so eloquently that I asked her for permission to share her letter here. She said I could put her letter on the web and include her email so others who are touched by her words, as I was, can contact her.

I feel so strongly about the power and beauty of what she has to share that I added a new section to my page for this kind of communication. Thank you, again, Kalpana.

Subject: Reiki

Dear Serena, I read your home page - your experience and trauma with cancer. My husband, Rajiv, was a cancer patient (Non-Hogdkins Lymphoma). The disease was diagnosed in August 1992. He passed away in February this year. I have done Reiki Level II and used to give him Reiki regularly - almost for an hour a day. Talking about how it helped him is very difficult to people who have not gone thru what we have. Our lives totally changed. I can totally identify with what your experience was. Our lives changed for the better. We turned towards God and spirituality and found so much joy and really learnt to LIVE life. Now he is no more, but I am living on with the lessons we learnt - hell bent on not letting them go to waste.

To my belief, how reiki helped Rajiv I would say is, it did not cure his body disease but healed his soul. His end was very beautiful. He was calm and relaxed, (even though he fought with positive attitude till he realised that it was no use) and just accepted that he had to go and let go. There was no agitation, no anxiety, no disturbance. He said bye to me, spoke beautiful words (I could write on and on) and wanted to sleep.

I would like to hear more about what you do. I just felt like sharing my experiences.
