S.E.E.D. of Personal Power Reiki classes have been revised to be able to accomodate new students more effectively.

Change In Design

Because of the time Serena has spent traveling and teaching Reiki over the last couple of years, the S.E.E.D. of Personal Power Reiki method of teaching has changed somewhat.

"When preparing to teach in Malaysia, I realized that I would have very full classes, and since I would be doing attunements, much of the teaching would be done by Reiki Master trainees who had not been trained through S.E.E.D. of Personal Power Reiki techniques. They had reviewed the material, but had not experienced the classes. I realized that I had to completely revise my Reiki manual so it had ALL the information I wanted students to learn. (Prior to that, it was basically an outline.)"

Expanded Information

The S.E.E.D. of Personal Power Reiki Manual has evolved into a fully documented class of both Western Usui Reiki and Japanese Reiki Techniques. Now students can now study the material at home on their own time. When they have completed the manual, they arrange to meet with the Reiki Master for attunements, practice sessions and a review. This can be completed in two three- to four-hour sessions.

"The total revision of the S.E.E.D. of Personal Power Reiki Manuals included new material about Western Reiki. Then, after I attended Japanese Reiki Technique intensive workshops with Frank Arjava Petter (author of "Reiki Fire", "Reiki: The Legacy of Dr. Usui" and "The Original Usui Reiki Manual" I included information from those workshop in the new manuals."

Upgrading and Certification

"When I completed the revision, I conducted workshops for my students who wish to become registered and certified in S.E.E.D. of Personal Power Reiki. The workshops included a complete review of the new material in the manuals, as well as the exercises Dr. Usui taught. To be certified at a particular level, practitioners were required attend all levels they were certified in. When they completed the workshops, the symbol indicating that they are certified in S.E.E.D. of Personal Power Reiki was added to their name on the website."

Strive for Excellence

"I then looked at the format of my classes in the USA. Since S.E.E.D. of Personal Power Reiki includes both Western Usui Reiki and Japanese Reiki Techniques, and because I treat each student as a potential Reiki Master, there is quite a bit of information I expect them to know.

Flexibility

The reason 2 sessions are required is because you need 4 attunements for Level I (although some Reiki Masters combine them, we will not... we feel the student benefits from each attunement individually.) We won't do more than 3 attunements on a student in one day. So we would meet the first day for three or four hours... or more if it is appropriate. Then the second day we meet for the last attunement and to go over questions.

"However, I realized it was foolish to take an entire weekend to read the book together that the student could read themselves. I set up a new protocol for the classes. The student sends a deposit and I mail the manual to them. After they read the manual and write any questions in the book as they read it, we schedule two meetings. I need to meet with the student twice... 3-4 hours each time... to give them their attunements and answer their questions.

A New Program

"I have found that this works better than taking an entire weekend to teach the class. The student does not have to allocate 2 full days for the training... and actually spends more time going through the book, but it is at their convenience. And the time we spend together is more productive because they already know what their questions are, based on what they have read.

Requirements for S.E.E.D. of Personal Power Reiki Practitioner classes are:

Level I - 2 meetings - a total of 4 attunements. Cost: $250 (deposit $125)
Level II - 2 meetings - a total of 2 attunements. Cost: $300 (deposit $150)

A 3- to 6-month break between the two levels is recommended to allow the student to fully integrate and practice using the Level I energy before moving on to Level II.

S.E.E.D. of Personal Power Reiki Master and Reiki Master teacher levels require acceptance by a S.E.E.D. of Personal Power Reiki Master Teacher and is conducted by arrangement with that teacher. It is an apprenticeship, not a class.

Certified S.E.E.D. of Personal Power Reiki Masters & Practitioners: These Reiki Practitioners & Masters have reviewed the latest information available on the history, traditions and techniques of Western Usui Reiki & Japanese Reiki Techniques, and the Reiki Master Teachers teach from the current revision of the S.E.E.D. of Personal Power Reiki Manual.
